Sustainability is a core part of how we think and act as a company. To make sustainability tangible and practical to implement, we created an internal sustainability team with members from various areas of the business. This team is responsible for systematically running the sustainability management system in accordance with the Center for Sustainable Leadership’s guidelines (Zentrums für nachhaltige Unternehmensführung, ZNU) and is constantly striving to develop this further.
The company’s activities are split into the categories Ecology, Economy and Social, and systematically captured at company level and along the entire value chain. They are evaluated annually for their relevance and currency. During these processes, we always follow the cycle of sustainable business leadership: Think, Act, Measure, Communicate. The focus topics are prioritised in an internal company cruciality matrix.
SUSTAINABLE PROCUREMENT MANAGEMENT
Create as much transparency as possible in ecological and social aspects within our supply chain for the raw materials, packaging and services we purchase (by 2024).
CLIMATE
Create the first corporate climate balance sheet in accordance with Scope 3 for 2022 and derive concrete measures to reduce our CO2 emissions.
